Job Description & Responsibilities:

Our client is a prestigious, market leading hotel owner and operator with multiple established brands globally, covering both resorts and luxury city destination hotels. With many decades of international experience and market leadership they are embarking on an exciting expansion program across a number of their brands.

On behalf of our client, Heritage International Hospitality is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Director of Finance in Bangkok to manage the accounting and finance department whilst driving greater RevPAR and overall operating profitability.

In addition to the specific technical and management expectations of the role given below, you will at all times be expected to conduct yourself in a manner commensurate with the senior role you hold and with the brand values of our client.

Job requirements inlude the following:

  • Review current financial performance and  perform objective analysis with team
  • Prepare platform for annual budgets and financial forecasts and communicate expectations accordingly across all departments
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports in line with budget  forecasts and present to GM and regional Finance Director
  • Prepare re-forecasts as required in the unlikely event of external matters significantly impacting forecasted financial performance
  • Establish solid professional relationship with General Manager and other senior management team members as well as all HOD’s
  • Chair monthly finance update meetings with senior leadership team
  • Develop healthy and effective working relationships with finance and accounting team and minimize staff attrition
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting both management and statutory
  • Ensure the finance and accounting function is operating with complete compliance and develop strategies to ensure this is enforced
  • Work with HOD’S to ensure they understand key metrics and relevance of benchmark financial information and how they can use it to drive greater department performance
  • Evaluate and review supply chain processes with a view to establishing additional savings but which must also be in line with local community policy
  • Preparing and presenting annual financial management report to General Manager, Regional Finance Director and other senior leadership team members
Candidate Requirements


  • 8 years’ experience, preferably 5 in management position
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other relevant business discipline
  • Demonstrable successful track record of growing revenue, margin and hence NOP of hotel or similar facility
  • Solid motivational and communication skills across all levels of seniority and experience of team members
  • Energetic and ability to maintain an upbeat, positive persona even in the most challenging of circumstances
  • Working knowledge/familiarization of major accounting software packages and applications
